Volunteer Opportunities

So you’re not an actor or actress, but you want to get involved in this year’s production? Well there is good news for you! A theatrical production takes a great number of people working together to make it work. Listed below are several ways you can get involved. We are sure that you will find at least one area that peaks your interest!

The street team is a team of people who will go out into the "streets" and hang posters, hand out tickets and various other promotional pieces to the neighborhoods of Amarillo to get the word out about our Christmas show.  Perhaps you want to get involved but can't make the time commitment that some of the other opportunities require...this just may be a fit for you!

Volunteer Online »

If you are a carpenter, builder or handy man, we need you on our set building team!  This year's show is a brand new show, which means we are starting from scratch when it comes to sets.  This team will work together to create the sets that the Christmas production staff designs.

Volunteer Online »

If you love to cook, bake, or plan parties, this could be the team for you!  The hospitality team brings food, bottled water, and other goodies to the cast and crew of the Christmas production.  As the date draws closer for show time, the actors, actresses and crew are in nightly rehearsals.  This team gives the cast and crew the fuel they need by bringing up dinner each evening of rehearsal.  If you want to be a part of this team you can gather your lifegroup, family, and friends to pitch in and take one of the nightly meals.

Volunteer Online »

If you have a knack for fashion and design or if you can sew, this just may be the area for you!  The costume team begins with a costume designer whose main job will be to look at each scene and come up with costuming ideas for the characters.  The main designer will form a team of people who can help with designing and ideas.  We will also need hands that can sew and even people who can go out and shop for some of the costumes.  All of these folks will make up our costuming team.

Volunteer Online »

The stagehands are the folks behind the curtain, all dressed in black, that open and close the curtain, help with production cues etc.  The stagehands will also assist the prop master (see below) in moving props and set pieces on and off of the stage for each scene change.  Please note that there may be some heavy lifting involved in this and experience in this area is helpful.

Volunteer Online »

The prop team is a very important part of any theatrical production.  The prop team will have a head prop master whose main job is to organize the list of props and figure out how the props will move on and off stage throughout the various scenes.    The prop master will work with the stagehands and they will assist with transitioning each scene.  Also on the prop team is a prop overseer whose main job will be to gather props either by going out and purchasing them or finding places that will let us borrow items.  The prop overseer may also find it beneficial to gather some team members to help out with brainstorming where to get the furnishings and props needed.

Volunteer Online »

In order to be a part of the video production and/or production team some experience is required.  The video production team will put together videos that will be shown in between scenes during the production.  If you have experience with putting together videos, this would be a great team to be a part of!  If you have experience with running sound, lights or a background in the technical arena then you may want to consider serving with the production crew.

Volunteer Online »

The backstage area of any production needs a lot of organizing and teamwork to make it flow smoothly.  If you are naturally organized and enjoy developing systems, this would be a perfect place for you to serve!  The backstage team will also help actors/actresses be in the "right place at the right time" for their scenes and possibly even help with quick costume changes (i.e. having the actors next outfit out and ready for them etc.)  This team will mainly be serving during the performances, but will also meet several times in the weeks before the show to come up with ideas for organizing backstage as well as ideas for a smooth flow in between scenes.

Volunteer Online »

A TFC staff member will head the housekeeping team up.  This team will be responsible for cleaning up the Sanctuary in between shows the weekend of the production.

Is God in the wind and drought?

It motivated our governor Rick Perry to first ask Texas to pray for rain and then he called International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City to pray for Texas. He has also scheduled a prayer event in Houston, Aug 6 for Texans to gather and pray corporately for rain. IHOP is praying every 2 hours for Texas. Gov. Perry was also on James Robinson's show. Gesher Forum - Trinity Fellowship Church

Gesher Forum

What We Do

We exist to equip Jewish believers to be effective ministers in every area of Jewish society and also to build a bridge for the Gospel with cultural influencers in the Jewish community. That translates into the following activities:

  • Teaching Israelis the Word of God (in Hebrew) and imparting to them solid foundations in Biblical studies.
  • Equipping the next generation to be able to defend their faith in the midst of a very secular and largely atheistic culture.
  • Hosting equipping seminars to train the next generation of Jewish ministry leaders (pastors, evangelists, teachers, and market place ministers).
  • Developing a Messianic Seminary in Berlin, Germany for the growing movement of Messianic Jewish leaders there.

Ways To Help

  • Prayer to empower us to run with the vision God has put in our hearts.
  • Monthly financial support so that we can focus upon the vision and sustain a consistent ministry budget.

Missions Ministries - Trinity Fellowship Church

Missions Ministries

What We Do

Andrew and Karen give oversight to a prophetic ministry, Living Stones Student Center, in the Palestinian Territories.

Living Stones, founded in 1998, is bringing a radical witness of Jesus' love and reconciliation to Palestinian Muslim and Christian communities.

Against a background of constant tension and violence, the ministry of Living Stones has so affected young people and families that it has become one of the preeminent relief services in the northern part of the West Bank.

Many of our outreaches to Muslim villages, such as our summer camps, help to prepare the ground for the communication of the gospel.

Ways To Help

  • Prayer for our health, spiritual refreshment, and our ministries in Manila and Palestine.
  • Financial assistance for two rural church buildings. Both are in the planning stages.

Peniel Fellowship - Trinity Fellowship Church

Peniel Fellowship

What We Do

The Peniel fellowship started as a Home Group in 1978, combined from a few local Jewish believers, several new immigrants from different countries, languages and backgrounds, and Christians from different back grounds who had come to the land with a vision to help build the country and to be a living testimony through their daily lives.

The believers of Tiberias began to pray together and soon agreed to hold an open assembly each Friday evening (Erev Shabbat). Five men were elected as Elders following a time of prayer and fasting, and we took the name "Peniel" (Hebrew for 'face of God', Gen. 32) in which Jacob became Israel through a wrestling match with a 'man', who when Jacob looked closer, he recognized had the face of God. So it proved, we were to experience a human struggle which could have divine consequences.

One of our main goals is to teach and equip the believers to stand on a solid foundation so that they can grow and mature in The Lord and teach others, that we may all hold fast to our faith, and persevere to the end.

May we be found faithful in His eyes when He returns!

Gideon’s International - Trinity Fellowship Church

Gideon's International

What We Do

The majority of Gideons live and serve in their local communities, making us very effective and efficient because . . .

  • They know the local language and customs.
  • They know where the hotels, schools, prisons, hospitals and other locations where Scriptures need to be distributed are located.
  • Sometimes, we're able to establish local groups of Gideons in countries where traditional missionaries aren't allowed to go.

Ways To Help

Our number one need is prayer.

One of the best ways you can help us reach the world with the Word of God is to pray for our ministry. More specifically, please pray that:

  • Each and every Scripture will touch the life or lives God intends to change.
  • That many individuals and families will be saved through reading Gideon-placed Scriptures.
  • More locations, communities and countries allow Scripture distributions.
  • There will be steady flow of funds to cover the printing and shipping of Scriptures around the world.
  • Members will travel safely and not be prevented from doing their work.

CareNet / Crisis Pregnancy Center - Trinity Fellowship Church

CareNet / Crisis Pregnancy Center

What We Do

Care Net and our network of more than 1,100 pregnancy centers offer hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies by providing practical help and emotional support.

In the words of TIME magazine, pregnancy centers are the "kind, calm, nonjudgmental" face of the pro-life movement. Free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, abortion information, parenting classes, and material assistance are just some of the many services offered that empower women to choose life. As an umbrella organization, Care Net seeks to promote, prepare, and plant pregnancy centers across North America.

Care Net also plays a key role in reaching women in crisis through our 24/7 Option Line call center and website featuring America Online's (AOL) Instant Messaging service. Option Line has over 30 trained phone consultants who provide immediate support and connect people to the help of a local pregnancy center.  The Option Line website is currently garnering more than 1,000,000 visits each year.

The ultimate aim of Care Net and its network of pregnancy centers is to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ in both word and deed. As a result, the hearts of women and men are being changed by Christ's love to desire positive and healthy choices. In addition, those struggling with past abortions are finding God's healing and forgiveness.

Ways To Help

Believing our vision and work is compelling, we invite you to learn more about Care Net and to support us as we seek to restore hope to those facing unplanned pregnancies and ensure a future for their unborn.

  • Speak in our chapel services
  • Play music in our chapel services
  • Perform dramas and skits in chapel
  • Administrative and office duties

The class is offered several times a year. Contact the church office for the upcoming schedule or register for the pre-marriage class online.

Vision 2020 - Trinity Fellowship Church

Vision 2020

Eldership - Trinity Fellowship Church

Eldership

The Eldership of Trinity Fellowship

Trinity Fellowship is an elder-governed church that operates on a theocratic government model.  Our belief is that Christ is the head of the Church universal and, in particular, the head of Trinity.  The Board of Elders exists to hear the Lord for His purposes and direction, to empower the leadership and staff, and to watch over the spiritual well-being of the congregation.

Paul in his epistle to Titus instructs the church on the appointment of elders saying, "6An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. 7Since an overseer manages God's household, he must be blameless-not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. 8Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. 9He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it." (Titus 1:6-9 TNIV)

Paul connects two thoughts in this passage.  First, the word elder, or presbyter, denotes someone who is mature in wisdom and countenance if not also in age.  He is describing someone who demonstrates solid character and walks experientially in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Second, the word overseer, or bishop, describes the office of watcher.  The idea is that an overseer watches and protects that which he has been given responsibility over.  Together these terms describe a spiritually mature individual with solid character and the call of God on their life to watch over the congregation.

The eldership at Trinity is currently comprised of 20 men from varied walks of life.  Six are pastors on staff at Trinity, including Jimmy Evans who serves as Chairman of the Board of Elders.  Several men have been elders since Trinity's inception.  There are dentists, insurance agents, engineers, businessmen, and retirees serving on the board.

Each man serves a lifetime appointment for so long as they desire to serve and remain connected to Trinity Fellowship.  In addition, virtually every decision of the eldership is made in unison.  This combination of permanent tenure and unanimous decision-making creates a very unique environment, and for it to work properly everyone holds to two key principles: relationship and unity.

It is this theocratic, or God-centered, governance model that has guided Trinity Fellowship since its beginning.  It is deep within our DNA, and it is one of the key elements we export to the other church bodies we touch.  God has been so very faithful to us, and our commitment is to continue to press into Him and into one another until we all reach the fullness of who He has called us to be.

Volunteering - Trinity Fellowship Church

Volunteering

As you look around and see all the amazing things going on at Trinity, keep in mind it’s only possible with the help of volunteers. Getting connected in Trinity is such an important part of life here.

One of the best ways to get involved is to give your time and talents. We all have the need to be involved in something that’s bigger than us. With volunteering, you have the opportunity to help others while receiving the personal benefits and rewards that come with volunteering.

We have started a new process to help you get plugged in as a volunteer, and it's called the Growth Track. This series of four classes held on Sunday mornings will teach you important principles of the Christian faith, aid you in discovering your gifts, and then help you get started serving as a member of the Dream Team.

Lifegroup Matrix

We welcome you to browse through our many different lifegroups at Trinity. We have 240 lifegroups ranging from prayer to mountain biking to Bible-studies. We're sure to have one that fits you just right.

You can search by a leader's name, the name of a lifegroup, or just something that you would enjoy doing with people you like.

For example: if you know John Doe and know that he is a leader, just type his name in the search box on the left and you'll find the lifegroup(s) that he leads. Or if you want to find a cooking-based lifegroup, type "cooking" in the search box. You get the idea.

So check your calendars and join a lifegroup. We look forward to seeing you in life.

Worship - Trinity Fellowship Church

Worship

Worship is the expression of reverence to God. We believe what the Bible says about worship in Psalm 81:2. "Begin the music, strike the tambourine, play the melodious harp and lyre" (NIV). Today, the harps have been replaced with guitars and the tambourines with drums, but the heart of it all is God.

Join Our Worship Team

The Worship Ministry at Trinity is always searching for new musicians and vocalists that God has called to serve alongside us in leading the people of God in corporate worship. As such, there are many opportunities and venues in which to serve.

Inner Healing & Deliverance

Do you have areas in your life where you just can’t seem to walk in victory? You may find yourself struggling to get on top of an emotion or feeling, only to find yourself slipping back to where you started. Often, things that have happened in the past provide an “open door” for the enemy to begin to oppress you. Freedom Ministries exists to help you deal with those issues so that you can be delivered from demonic oppression and walk in freedom. After all, Jesus suffered and died on the cross, then was raised from the dead so that you can live victoriously!

Student Ministries - Trinity Fellowship Church

Student Ministries

Who we are

Student Ministries is the perfect place for your teenagers. Once they arrive at the meetings, they are introduced to Jesus, the Word is preached, and there is a clear focus on developing a relationship with God.

Culture

Culture is a very important influence on this age group. We feel that denying the cultural influences creates a disconnect from the church. Our goal at Student Ministries is to infuse the teen culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Security

It's important that nothing hinder what happens at each meeting. Safety and security is a huge priority for us. We are blessed to have a wonderful group of dedicated staff and volunteers at every meeting ensuring the safety and security of every person.

Our Events

We host all of our events so that students can get away from everyday life and focus on God through prayer, build community through conversation with each other, and be discipled in a Godly manner through intentional relationship with our staff and volunteers.

In correspondence with our belief that discipleship happens best on a small scale, most of our events accommodate no more than 40 students. These small-scale events are not only more supportive of both discipleship and community, but they also ensure that the majority of the events we offer remain easily affordable.

Our Services

Our gatherings consist of worship, a message, and ministry time. We then split into age- and gender-specific small groups to give students an opportunity to discuss their experience in worship, ask questions about the sermon, and talk or pray with their group leader about anything in their personal lives.

Our Staff

As a staff our job is to identify, reach, grow and release the students of this church as adults who have consistently experienced prayer, discipleship and community during their time in this ministry.

We do everything we do in order to support these principles. We know that we should lead foremost by example and we live our lives in a way that is above reproach and ultimately pleasing to God.

Volunteering

The most important thing a student can have is someone to look up to. Whether they realize it or not, the influence of a godly mentor is something that students will never forget.

Our volunteers do anything from leading a small group to providing security or simply mentoring a single student and living their lives in a way that is consistent with 1 Timothy 3:8-12.

There is always a student who hasn't been reached, and our ministry would not function without continual help from members of this congregation. If you have a heart for seeing the kingdom of God realized in this generation, please consider completing the Growth Track and becoming a part of the Dream Team as a Student Ministries volunteer.

For more information, call the Student Ministries department at 806-677-1003.

Register as a Visitor - Trinity Fellowship Church

Register as a Visitor

With children’s safety in mind, we created a system that provides a secure location for kids while not taking away any of the fun!

Here’s how it works!

  • If it's your first time go to the check in desk and they will take care of you.
  • After checking in, you will receive two badges.
  • The one with your child’s name on it is theirs; they just peel the sticker and put it on.
  • The other badge is yours; you will need it when you pick up your kids.
  • After that they can run to their rooms! If you are not sure what room they should go to, one of our hosts will be happy to help you.

If you have a child that will be attending our Heroland services (birth - kindergarden), please make sure to:

  • Label your child's shoes and coats.
  • Tie or velcro together shoes.
  • When you are picking up your child, double-check your child's shoes to make sure they are yours.
  • If you are concerned about leaving personal belongs, please feel free to take them with you.

Visitors

If you're bringing your children for the first time, you can fill out the information below and we'll print your badges for you. Then, you won't have to wait in line. Also, if you already attend and your child is bringing friends, you can use this form too!

We believe that Jesus called the Church to live in unity, providing for people’s needs in the community – whether they are physical needs like food and shelter, or emotional needs like love and kindness.

Community

When a person gives his or her life to a cause, then they get passionate about it. Passion attracts other people, and before you know it there’s a whole group of people gathering around a cause. That’s community and it leads to…

Culture

Wherever cause and community are, there is culture in the midst. When we gather on Tuesday nights, it is simply to celebrate the culture that is going on all week – the culture that is actively spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and meeting the needs of people in the community.
